The original owner is laive and well so the story is 100% accurate. All ocmics were purchased on the newsstand from 1937 to 1943.
Yhe owner then went to serve in wwii. While he was gone, relatives read the books and treated some of them roughly. When he returned form the war, he got the books back.
Unfortunately, some were missing and some were damagde and many lost their covers. We will be offering both complete books and books that have on covers which we have created reproduction covers for. There are some rare issues and major keys in the collection. Most of the books have off-white to white pages. More fun comics #52 and detective comics #35 are just 2 of the many complete unrestored original owner classics that will be available for the 1st time. Who will teh second owner be? This example of batman #9 is coverless but has nice ow to white pages and great paper quality. It is complete with centerfold intact.
